Erie Commons, in Erie, Colorado was created by two builders, Taylor Morrison and Standard Pacific. The north end of the community is bordered by the Leon A. Wurl Parkway which is now be called Erie Parkway. That name change was instituted in 2009. The south end of the community is bounded by Rivera Place. Erie Commons homes range in price from the upper $200's to $500's plus, with square footages from 1,800 to over 4,000. Many of the homes feature three car garages and have frame and stone or brick exteriors. This Erie Colorado location is unique because homeowners are close to Boulder, restaurants in Old Town Erie, shopping and restaurants at Larkridge Shopping Center on the east on Highway 7 and I-25 and 144th, and I-25 at The Orchard Town Center. Additionally, there are neighborhood stores along Highway 7 and new services on the south end of town.

One of the builders is E-Star rated and their homes have two furnaces and two thermostats in each home. The community features a swimming pool and park area and there are a total of three tot lots among the Erie Common houses.

Another major attraction to the area is the close walking distance of the new Erie Recreation Center and the new library. A Walgreens is coming soon at the corner of Erie Parkway and County Line Road. Another new building is being constructed next to Walgreens that will be for other light retail. The high school was built in 2005 and is a state of the art facility. Erie Commons is a small, close knit pocket community with a varied population and everyone is welcomed.
